Hello and welcome! I'm Mckenzie Trent, the creator, writer, and star of The Adventures of Delores Briggam! While I've written and produced many shorts, sketches, and a feature, Delores is my first solo work as a creator. I truly feel there's a place and a need for my POV as a creator as I offer a unique blend of empathy for the characters I create while leaving them open, flawed, and unapologetic. I've always been an active observer, and my goal is to find the funniest way to comment on societal expectations, stereotypes, and the uncomfortable moments in our lives. True comedy has lost a lot of that to a "dramedy" sub genre, but I think you can have a hilarious show with unique characters who have real problems that feel relatable and different at the same time. 

Now enough about me, except not, because I paid for this website so I'M EVERYWHERE. Delores, a project of love, was inspired by my experience leaving New York in my late 20s and moving to Los Angeles and essentially starting over. It was a very different experience than moving to New York right after college. There's something odd about having a new life in your 30s. Making friends with other 30 somethings, starting at the bottom of a career path with much younger and less experienced peers, the dating pool shrinks... it's all kind of a mess. This awkward growing period was the spawn of this web series for me, and Delores, being the delusional delight that she is, allows us to both see ourselves just enough to relate, but not enough that we can't laugh at her instead of with her. She's a wonderful character and I love her. I hope you will too. 

At some point I want to copy and paste a real signature on here. I think that would look cool. But maybe not - maybe it looks douchey - like Donald Trump would do that. So I'm holding off on it for now, and you will all settle for the standard typed.
